Your area of work
Finance Operations is part of the Financial Accounting & Controlling area of Deutsche Börse Group. Finance Operations is the central operational hub for core finance processes of all major legal entities of Deutsche Börse Group. Finance Operations covers P2P Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, Legal Entity Closing and Statutory Reporting for appr. 70 legal entities especially in Germany and Luxembourg.
At our Prague location we have three teams: General Accounting Services & Banks , Master Data Management Team and Vendor Invoice Management Team. As Head of Unit General Accounting Services & Banks you will be responsible for managing a team of +10 accountants working mainly in the fields of accounts receivable and bank accounting.
To main day to day tasks of the team belong: Processing of outgoing and incoming payments, bank statements and bank statements reconciliation, Receivable Management (Dunning) and processing of Receivable Impairments, Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable subledger accounts and of clearing of transit accounts.
As part of the Finance Operations management team you will also be involved in business projects and strategic change projects. You will be reporting to the Head of Finance Operations based in Prague.
Your responsibilities
- Organise the day to day business of your team
- Monitor the quality of operational processes based on KPIs and initiate improvements where appropriate
- Continuously identify potential for efficiency improvements
- Manage a positive relationship with stakeholders in Luxembourg and Frankfurt, such as Accounting, Billing, Regulatory reporting and IT
- Coach and develop your team members
Your profile
- At least three years’ experience in a management capacity
- Advanced knowledge of accounting standards (university degree in Finance, ACCA or equivalent certification is a plus)
- Good working experience with SAP ERP is a must
- Good organisational skills with the sense of prioritization and ability to quickly adapt to new urgencies
- Strong communication skills
- Independent work and ability to define the priorities in daily tasks
- Strong networking skill
